Eight Things Meme Response

I’ve been tagged by Guy at The Short Fat Kid Blog to let loose eight random facts about myself via the 8 Things Meme.

THE RULES
1. We have to post these rules before we give you the facts.
2. Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.

ANNA LIISA'S EIGHT THINGS:

1.  I was probably meant to have a smoking habit, because I always need a piece of paper in my idle hand to fidget with whenever I am reading or writing. Luckily I never took up smoking.

2. I am extremely organized and detail-oriented at work, so you would expect my house to be clean and orderly, but I hate cleaning and organizing, so my house is always an embarrassing mess instead.

3. I was horribly shy as a little girl and spent long periods of time as a child refusing to speak.

4. I have some kind of a color blindness problem that causes me to have difficulty discerning between particular shades of blue and green. This might account for some of my color choices that I make in my clothing and decor that other people consider to be quite tacky.

5. I am supposed to have Lasik eye surgery on Tuesday but they might not be able to do it if my corneas measure out as too thin on the day orf surgery. The idea of surgery terrifies me but so does the idea of wearing glasses for another 20 years.

6. For the longest time I have wanted to have a pet llama.

7. I am 50% Finnish but I am also Hispanic. I look neither Finnish nor Hispanic.

8. I am a cat whisperer. Give me enough time, and I can make almost any cat like me and let me pet it.
